In the third week of the semester, we'll start an ongoing project of
publishing one post a week about something you've found in your daily
surfing of the Web, either an article or a Web site.
This
is a filter post in which you'll alert your readers to something you
think is valuable and worth their time. Alternatively, you might be
alerting readers to something you think is bad or poorly done.
This
post doesn't have to be long — about 150-200 words. It must contain a
link to the article you're critiquing (or else it wouldn't be a true
filter post). In your comments, tell your readers why you've drawn their
attention to this article or Web site. Discuss elements such as the
content, the style, the writing and presentation. Take a stand and tell
us why you do, or don't, like it.
Deadline: These should be posted to your blog by the time you go to bed each Friday night.
For more detail about doing filter posts, see the class blog post here: Filter Posts: What's the Point?
Happy blogging!
